About BitCorn

BitCorn builds the hardware, software, and network that let farmers and agribusinesses run on Bitcoin and stablecoins they own.

We started with a question: what happens when the people who grow real value also control how that value moves? The answer is BitCorn — self-custodied digital currency infrastructure, purpose-built for agriculture.

Why we built this

Kevin Kimle is a fourth-generation agriculturalist. He’s spent thirty years building technology companies for agriculture. E-Markets, one of the first B2B e-commerce platforms for agribusiness, founded in 1996. Decision Commodities, a next-generation hedging and derivatives platform, founded in 2001 and acquired in 2008. The Ag Startup Engine at Iowa State, which has backed dozens of agricultural startups since 2016.

Across all of it, one pattern kept showing up. Agriculture produces real, physical value — food, fuel, fiber — but the financial system it operates in wasn’t built for it. Commodity prices trend flat over time. Input costs climb. Land, equipment, insurance, labor, compliance — all of it inflates. The margin gets thinner every year. Economists call it the cost-price squeeze. Farmers just call it life.

The traditional answer has been to get bigger, borrow more, and hope the next cycle is kinder. But that’s not a strategy. That’s a treadmill.

BitCorn started with a different question: what if the problem isn’t the farm — it’s the money? Bitcoin is scarce. Twenty-one million, forever. It doesn’t debase. It doesn’t require permission. It rewards patience — the same patience that farmland rewards. And stablecoins can move value instantly, around the clock, for a fraction of what a wire transfer costs.

Put those tools in the hands of the people who produce real value, and something changes. Not overnight. But structurally — the way farmland compounds across generations.

That’s what BitCorn is building. Hardware, software, and a network that let farmers and ag businesses run on money they actually own.
